Special Insights

I’m a firm believer that children need to be taught how to dream. By “dream,” I mean having a driving hope for the future-a clear concept or idea of what they want to do or be. Every child needs to learn this, and children with special needs are no exception. (Krystin Crow, mother of a child with autism)

Making Sense of The Quote

We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered to us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased. (C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory)
